Columbia Gorge Discovery Center and Museum is the official interpretive center for the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Ranked No.1 on TripAdvisor among 23 attractions in The Dalles. Hands-on, multi-media exhibits illuminate the cultural and natural history of the Columbia River Gorge, including Ice Age geology, 10,000 years of Native American culture, Lewis and Clark cargo, the Oregon Trail, renewable energy and more. See presentations with live raptors, and visit the museum store. The museum is wheel-chair accessible, and family friendly, with a Kids Explorer room. Riverfront Trail offers hiking and biking, and a wildflower nature trail circles the pond next to the museum. Located off I-84 exit 82, follow the signs.
